The AKVIS MultiBrush v.4.0 for Windows and Macintosh is now available for download. An updated version of the Noise Ninja standalone application is now available courtesy PictureCode. Noise Ninja v2.2.0 is available for both Mac and Windows OS and features a new batch processing function called Sidekick Mode. The Sidekick Mode programs other applications, like Photo Mechanic to send in images for noise removal processing. You can download it from here.

Version 1.4.0 of Nikon Transfer is now available to both Mac and Windows users. Mac users need to go here to download and PC users here.
Modifications enabled with Ver. 1.4.0
- When the ‘Transfer new photos only’ checkbox in the Preferences panel of the Options dialog is checked and all image files displayed in the transfer queue have been transferred, the ‘Disconnect Automatically after transfer’, ‘Shut down computer automatically after transfer’ and ‘Quit Nikon transfer automatically after transfer’ operations are no longer performed, even if these options have been enabled.
- When ‘Date Transferred’ is selected with the Index pull down menu (between prefix and suffix) in the Folder Naming dialog, a checkbox called ‘Do not add trailing number’ is now displayed. If the checkbox is not checked, a trailing number of the form of “YYYYMMDD_001” will be added as with previous versions.
- ‘Original name+New name’ and ‘New name+Original name’ options have been added to the prefix and suffix portions in the File Naming dialog.
- An ‘Add XMP/IPTC rating as my Picturetown favourites option has been added to the my Picturetown panel in the Options dialog.
- When ‘Verify my Picturetown account’ in the my Picturetown panel of the Options dialog is clicked, the total amount of storage used is now displayed as a percentage of the total capacity available.

Picture Resize Genius 2.9.4 is a new resize, shrink and crop utility that’s useful for resizing images for posting them on blogs or emailing to family and friends. Available for Windows only, the application saves images in true color, 256 colors or gray scale.

Photo Mechanic 4.5.3.2 is out of beta and is now available for download on the Camera Bits website. The new release adds support for as-shot RAW rendering using ImageIO on Mac OS X 10.5.3 for the Nikon D60, Olympus E-3, and the Sony DSLR-A200 and DLSR-A350.
The update is free for those who had already purchased a license and new users can purchase it fro US$150.

Stellar recently released an updated version of its Photo Recovery Software v3.0 for Windows. Images, which get lost by accidental deletion or formatting of the media can be recovered using this application.
The supported camera file formats comprises of a large list like:
Canon(CR2 /CRW), Fuji(RAF), Kodak(K25 /KDC/DCR), Minolta(MRW), Nikon(NEF), Olympus(ORF), Pentax(PEF), Sigma(X3F), Sony(SR2).
The supported audio file formats:
RPS, AU, OGG, WAV, MP3, AIFF, MIDI, M4A, M4P, WMA.
And here is the list of the supported Video file formats:
MOV, AVI, ASF, WMV, MP4.
Some of the most common file formats like Jpeg, Tiff (Motorola & Intel), BMP, GIF and PNG are also supported.

The newly released AKVIS Sketch v.7.0 for Windows and Macintosh is now retailing for $72 USD. The software converts photos to realistic pencil and watercolor drawings and the latest version is available as a stand-alone application, as well as a plug-in to a photo editor.
Version 7.0 includes a number of new special effects, which further enhance the final rendition, and makes them more realistic. Some of them include; blending of the final drawing and the original image; imitating motion or adding "time machine effect" by swirling the background. The AKVIS Enhancer v.9.0 for Windows and Macintosh by AKVIS LLC was unveiled recently and the latest version includes a number of new features and improvements.
The software is primary used for correcting underexposed and overexposed photos and combining several shots to create an HDR image. Version 9 includes new Focus mode, which brings blurred photos into focus. Hence it is now possible to improve sharpness on the whole image or accentuate only a part of it.
The program is available in two versions, as a standalone application and as a plug-in to a photo editor and the AKVIS Enhancer Plugin sells for $69 USD where as the Enhancer Standalone with HDRI support sells for $81.

Photo Mechanic 4.5.3.1 by Camera Bits was recently released and is now available for download. The new version is a maintenance update and now adds support for as-shot RAW rendering using ImageIO on Mac OS X 10.5.2 for the Canon 1Ds Mark III and Powershot G9, Nikon D3 and D300, and Sony DSLR-A700.
One can now also preserve Exif data on emailed images and the Select Date Range dialog can now select dates further in the past.
