Datacolor has extended its mail-in rebates on its line of Spyder color calibration systems including Spyder3Pro, Spyder3Elite and Spyder3 Studio till December 31, 2008.
Datacolor’s mail-in rebate program includes: $15.00 off of Spyder3Pro; $35.00 off of Spyder3Elite; and $100.00 off Spyder3 Studio. Customers must send a copy of the sales receipt (dated between December 5 and December 31, 2008) to the following address:

“The Real Colors of my Life” is a new photography contest from Datacolor. Open to everyone, the entries will be accepted from now until the 31st of January 2009 and can be in colour or black and white. For three lucky participants, whose images are chosen overall, the prizes will be:
- First prize - A one week workshop with TPW
- Second prize – Adobe Lightroom and Adobe software
- Third prize - A complete collection of nik software plug-ins

Datacolor in a press release announced their decision of extending the £40-off trade-in campaign for old calibrators until 28th September. The offer applies to any older device, which can be handed in at participating dealers or sent directly to Datacolor in return for a £40 discount on the latest Spyder3 colour management technology.

The Spyder3 professional calibration range by Datacolor is now available at discounted prices in the UK. Effective from 1st June 2008, Datacolor’s Spyder3Elite is reduced in price from £175 to £155.99 while Spyder3Print is reduced by £60 to £253.99, including VAT.
Christoph Gamper, European general manager of Datacolor, says: “Our Spyder3 range has proved to be very successful among imaging professionals who trust Datacolor to get the best from their work. By introducing new, lower prices for Spyder3Elite and Spyder3Print, we are able to bring Datacolor’s advanced colour management technology to a new audience who are also passionate about colour in their work.”

Datacolor recently announced the latest Spyder3Pro™ and Spyder3Print color solutions to meet the calibration needs of profession photographers. The Spyder3Pro is a display calibration tool with a colorimeter that includes a seven-detector color engine and delivers more precise control over white point and gamma.
Spyder3Print on the other hand is a print calibration solution which has a Datacolor 1005™ spectrocolorimeter to ensure accurate and consistent color. For more info on these two solutions head over here.
Spyder3Pro has a US SRP of $169 and Spyder3Print, $499. Each is compatible with Mac OSX (10.3 or higher) and Windows 2000, XP 32/64 and Vista 32/64.
