The newly announced Sony Cyber-shot H20 totes a 10-megapixel resolution and comes equipped with a Carl Zeiss 10x optical zoom lens. One will also come across now mandatory Sony features like Optical SteadyShot image stabilization and Smile Shutter technology. The prosumer camera also features wide and full-screen 720p movie recording at 30 frames per second in fine, standard and VGA recording modes.

The Nikon Coolpix L100 is the latest “prosumer” camera on the block. Touting a 10-megapixel resolution, the L100 has a 15x zoom NIKKOR lens that covers a wide-angle 28mm to super-telephoto 420mm (35mm-format equivalent). The L100’s Sports Continuous Mode allows up to 13 fps and other features include In-Camera Red-Eye Fix for beautiful portraits, D-Lighting for in-camera image enhancement, 15 Scene Modes, movies with sound, and Active Zoom, amongst others.

The newly announced Olympus SP-565 UZ has a 20x wide zoom lens (26-520mm*) and comes equipped with a 10 megapixel imaging sensor. This prosumer digital camera also features Dual Image Stabilisation, Advance Face detection, a 2.5 inch LCD screen, and P/A/S/M exposure modes.
The SP-565 UZ will be available in October 2008 for $399.99 (). It will also include: Neck Strap, WIN/Mac USB Cable, Audio/Video Cable, four AA Batteries, Manual, Warranty Card and OLYMPUS Master 2 Software CD-ROM.

The Nikon COOLPIX P80 Digital Camera is the latest “Prosumer” camera on the block that tries to bridge the gap between DSLRs and Compact digicams. The P80 comes equipped with a wide-range 18x NIKKOR zoom lens with extended telephoto capability, and also incorporates image stabilization.
Toting a 10-megapixel resolution, the P80 features an electronic viewfinder and also includes a large 2.7-inch monitor with anti-reflection coating and a wide viewing angle. Face-Priority AF, In-Camera Red-Eye Fix and D-Lighting are some other features found on it. The Nikon COOLPIX P80 will be available at all Nikon retailers as of 25 April for $399.95.
