Nikon has released a new version of the my Picturetown which is a sharing and storage service. The new version boasts of a more intuitive interface and a user-friendly menu. Via my Picturetown, one can send photos directly to Flickr® and also gives 2GB free of photo storage.
My Picturetown’s new features will launch end of April 2008. Two gigabytes of storage will be free with the option to purchase up to 200GB through a my Picturetown Gold Account. For more information on my Picturetown please visit http://www.mypicturetown.com.
Upgrades to my Picturetown include the following:
• The ability to upload RAW (NEF) files viewable as JPEGs
• The ability to search for photos by the date they were uploaded or taken using a calendar
• A full-screen slideshow option for viewing photos customizable with now up to 25 choices for background music
• A new system allowing users to rate their images on a scale of 0-5
• A seamless interaction with Nikon’s Wi-Fi enabled cameras including the newly announced S52c
• The ability to receive photos uploaded via the Eye-Fi™ card
