Panasonic SDHC memory Cards with Class 10 Speed Specification Releasing in May
The new Panasonic SDHC memory cards with Class 10 speed specification will be available in Europe by the end of May. Class 10 is a new speed specification standardized by SD Card Association and the Panasonic GOLD line series will adopt this new speed class. The new series will be available in the following four models: RP-SDW04G / RP-SDW08G / RP-SDW16G / RP-SDW32G.
4GB Eye-Fi Share Video and Eye-Fi Explore Video Cards Updated
Eye-fi users can now directly upload videos from their digital camera to Picasa Web Albums, Photobucket or SmugMug, in addition to YouTube™ or Flickr. The 4GB Eye-Fi Share Video and Eye-Fi Explore Video cards can also can upload photos and videos directly to the computer and can also automatically geotags photos and videos. Eye-Fi’s newest wireless SD memory cards are now available at Apple Retail Stores and Best Buy locations nationwide for an MSRP of $79 (4GB Eye-Fi Share Video) and $99 (4GB Eye-Fi Explore Video).

Transcend SDHC HD Video Cards
Transcend has launched a new memory card series; the – SDHC HD Video Cards. Ideal for recording HD videos and high resolution images, the card can record in high quality 1920×1080 AVCHD format at 13Mbps compression rate, and a 16GB Transcend SDHC HD Video Card can store 2 hours and 40 minutes of video content. Transcend’s SDHC HD Video Cards are available in 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB capacities.

Pretec 666X CF Card Unveiled
The Pretec 666X CF card which claims to be the “world’s fastest CF card” was unveiled at PMA 2009. The card offers 100MB/s transfer speeds and is housed in a rugged casing. Pretec 666X CF card will start sampling by April from capacities of 4GB to 64GB.

SanDisk Announces World's First High Performance 4-Bits-Per-Cell (X4) Flash Memory Technology
SanDisk has developed the world’s first high performance 4-bits-per-cell (X4) flash memory which uses 43-nanometer (nm) process technology. This would enable the company to incorporate 64-gigabit (Gb) memory in a single die. SanDisk has also produced an advanced X4 controller, which is necessary to effectively manage the complexities and performance requirements of X4 memory.
Transcend P8 All-In-One USB Card Reader
The Transcend P8 All-In-One USB card reader is fully compliant with the Hi-Speed USB 2.0 specification and has a high-speed Ultra DMA transfer mode. The P8 directly accepts all the popular memory cards currently available, including CF, SD, SDHC, MMC, MMCplus, RS-MMC, MMCmobile, microSD, microSDHC and Memory Stick series cards. Eye-Fi to Incorporate Youtube Support
Soon Eye-Fi users will be able to wirelessly upload videos from their digital camera to YouTube and a home computer. Eye-Fi will preview the technology at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas January 8-11, in booth #32024 in the TechZone of South Hall Three. Eye-Fi is designing its video upload service to support for full-resolution HD video, since newer cameras like the Nikon D90 are able to capture HD video.

SanDisk has been named an International CES Innovations 2009 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree for its 16 gigabyte microSDHC and Memory Stick Micro memory cards. Eye-Fi Wireless cards Updated
At Photokina 2008, enhancements for the wireless Eye-Fi cards were made. Apart from a significant speed boost, Eye-Fi users willnow be able to upload photos to Apple’s MobileMe and AdoramaPix. By using the updated Eye-Fi Manager Web application, users can add the following services to their cards:
Web Sharing – Users who have an Eye-Fi Home card can add Eye-Fi’s popular Web sharing service to send photos directly from their camera to one of more than 20 online photo sharing, printing, social networking or blogging sites using a wireless network, saving the time and hassle of manually uploading from the computer. Annual service fee: $9.99.
Geotagging – Users who have an Eye-Fi Home or Share card can add geotagging to their card.
