The new Phase One P 40+ medium format camera is now available. The Sensor+ enabled digital camera back/camera system features two separate image-capture modes where in normal mode; the P 40+ delivers full 40 megapixel. The P 40+ digital back starts at €14,990; the P 40+ camera system starts at €16,990.

The Voigtländer Bessa III medium format rangefinder has finally got a price tag. In Europe, the camera will retail for 999 Euros and should be available by May 2009.

The newly announced Mamiya DL33 is a medium format camera that has a resolution of 33 megapixels. At 36 x 48mm, the DL33’s sensor is twice the size of full frame DSLR cameras and the camera also has features like 16-bit capture, 12-stop dynamic range and an ISO range of 50-800. The Mamiya DL33 will be available April 2009. MAP price is $19,999.

Leaf added six new products in their medium format camera series including; Leaf AFi-II digital camera systems, Leaf Aptus-II camera backs and a new version of Leaf Capture workflow software. All the products will also be exhibited at Photokina 2008 in Cologne between 23 and 28 September.
The new Leaf AFi-II 10 is expected to start shipping by the end of 2008 and Leaf plans to start shipping the Aptus-II 10 by Q1 2009. Leaf Capture 11.2 will be available by the end of September, 2008.

Peartree recently unveiled the Leaf AFi 10 medium format camera. The camera comes equipped with a True Wide Frame (TWF) 56x36 mm, 56 megapixel digital imaging sensor and boasts of the proprietary Leaf ‘Verto’ technology.

The H3DII-5 is the latest DSLR from Hasselblad and it comes equipped with an impressive 50-megapixel sensor by Kodak. The new Kodak KAF-50100 image sensor, which measures 36x48 millimeters, enlarges the image circle by 50% for enhanced photography.
ISO rating ranges from ISO 50 to ISO 400 and using the H3DII-50 with Hassel lad’s Phocus software allows the ISO to be bumped further to ISO 800.The H3DII-50 camera will be available from October 2008 at a price of $39,995 excluding tax.

The latest offer by Leaf America is targeted at the medium format digital photographers. Buyers of a new Leaf Aptus 75, 65, or 22 back, or the Aptus S equivalent in Mamiya AFD mount, will receive a Mamiya 645 AFDII camera free of charge, with an automatic upgrade to a new AFDIII at no charge.
The new camera also offers 2nd curtain sync for flash photography, electronic buttons to control metering modes and exposure compensation, and accepts alkaline-magnesium or lithium batteries as well as nickel-hydrogen AA batteries.

Phase One A/S and Mamiya Digital Imaging Co unveiled the open medium format digital camera platform, the Phase One 645 Camera or the Mamiya 645AFDII. Targeted at the professional photographer, the camera accepts all quality digital camera backs and also supports traditional film operation.
The Phase One 645 Camera or the Mamiya 645AFDII is compatible with a plethora of high-end lenses including; the complete Mamiya 645 lens range, the new 28mm aspherical and D series lenses, as well as Hasselblad V-lenses and Pentacon Six lenses. It is designed to achieve shutter speeds from 1/4000 sec. to 60 minutes. The first pre-production units will be demonstrated this week at the Photo Imaging Expo.
“Phase One and Mamiya have taken the first step in delivering a unique approach to designing camera systems,” said Henrik Håkonsson, CEO of Phase One. “We believe that equipment interoperability and personal choice are integral values in realizing the highest quality imaging results. Photography Blog is reporting that the Phase One medium-format camera has finally got a release date. March 19th 2008 has been confirmed by Phase One Product Manager Bo Abildgren at Focus On Imagine. The Phase One Camera has been developed in collaboration with Mamiya.
