Photoshop Lightroom 2.1 has been released by Adobe. The new update addresses several bugs that had cropped up in Lightroom 2.0 and also provides additional camera raw support. Download it from here.

Photography Blog Reviews Lightroom 2

Jon Canfield from Photography Blog reviewed the Lightroom 2 application recently and the full review can be accessed here. Lightroom 2 comes highly recommended as it’s a solid upgrade and offers some great enhancements. Mac users won’t be disappointed either and Lightoom 2 also lets one download Export Plug-ins for sites like Flickr.

Excerpt from review:

“Other enhancements are more subtle, but the all combine to make Lightroom 2 worth the upgrade. There are still some things missing, like soft proofing, but the new version is a clear statement by Adobe that they intend to make Lightroom into a complete tool for digital photographers.”

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2 Now Available

The Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2 software is now available for USD$299 and can be bought from the Adobe Store at www.adobe.com/store.

Lightroom 2 supports 64-bit operating systems for Mac and Windows and features an enhanced library module. There is also a new Local Adjustment Brush which fine tunes specific areas of an image precisely and adjusts color, exposure and tonal range. The software also supports new camera profiles , which can be downloaded from http://labs.adobe.com/.

PTLens for Adobe Lightroom

PTLens, which is a software that corrects lens pincushion/barrel distortion, vignetting, chromatic aberration, and perspective, is now available as an external editor plug-in for Lightroom. Available for both Mac and Windows operating systems, the plug-in is available for US$15.
