The ATP GPS PhotoFinder Pro is the latest Geotagging device on the block. Compatible with applications and websites like the iPhoto, Flickr, Picasa3, Locr, SmugMug, Panoramio, Google Earth, and Google Maps, the geotagging device supports more than 450 camera models. The ATP GPS PhotoFinder Pro will be available in July for $119.

The newly announced Sony GPS-CS3KA GPS image tracker supports all the major Cyber-shot® digital still cameras and Handycam® camcorders. The GPS device lets one record the time, date and location of each image taken and the Picture Motion Browser software also comes bundled with it.

JOBO AG’s photoGPS is now compatible with the Mac OS. For the uninitiated, JOBO photoGPS is a small lightweight GPS receiver that fits directly on any digital camera’s hot shoe for automatic geo-tagging by capturing raw GPS data and time. Suggested retail price for the JOBO photoGPS is $159.

In a press release, Geotate announced that they have upgraded their GPS Web-Service for adding location tags to digital images. The geotagging service works with technology on a camera or dedicated device (such as JOBO’s photoGPS) to enable the user to record and discover the location where they took their pictures and videos.
“This upgrade of our Internet-based web-service coincides with the first Geotate technology-enabled products using our technology, being used by photographers. It represents another step in our ability to engineer innovative technology into market leading products,” said CTO Chris Marshall.

Geotate will combine their Yuma and Kato geotagging software with SiGe’s SE4120 GPS radio chip to achieve high-accuracy and affordable navigation in portable devices. With geotagging, camera users can automatically add geographical identification to their photos using GPS data. Ovolab released a major upgrade to Ovolab Geophoto yesterday. For the uninitiated, Ovolab Geophoto is a nifty application for organizing and browsing photos by location, through a three-dimensional representation of the Earth. The user can pan, zoom and fly through the photos, thanks to high-resolution satellite images of the planet.
The new Ovolab Geophoto 2 now supports a new map view which allows precise positioning of photos at street-level detail and can import photos from Aperture and Photoshop Lightroom libraries. It can also now add IPTC tags and save coordinates and tags in Camera RAW files too.
Ovolab Geophoto 2.0 is available immediately at the price of $24.95 (USA/Canada) or €24.95 (rest of the world). An evaluation version can be downloaded from Ovolab’s website.Users of version 1 of Geophoto can purchase an upgrade to version 2 for $8.95.
