Canon ‘Digital Solution’ by Park Cameras

Park Cameras have announced a dedicated event for professional photographers to showcase the Canon ‘Digital Solution’. The event will run on May 28th and will include seminars on the Canon EOS system by established names in the industry. Canon’s Steve Boness will also attend the event and he will showcase the Canon’s ‘Digital Workflow. You can email the organizers at sales@parkcameras.com to book a place.

Adobe Education Creative Lectures

Adobe announced the Adobe Education Creative Lectures. The event that will put spotlight on the various Adobe products and will also combine hands-on training days for lecturers, working in the Creative/Media HE colleges and universities, validated by industry certification.

“These lectures will enable students to make the transition from producing work as an undergraduate to meeting the demands of employers in the creative workplace. Having a real understanding of CS4® and industry best-practice will enable students to hit the ground running.” Says Liz Wilkins, Adobe’s Marketing Manager for Education.

2009 WPPI to Take Place atMGM Grand Hotel & Conference Center

The 2009 WPPI will be held at the MGM Grand Hotel & Conference Center, Las Vegas, Nevada. The WPPI `09 program features 350 leading manufacturers and exhibitors and revolves around the theme of “A World of Photo”. Budding photographers can also enroll in various educational workshops and registrations are now open.

Pentax To Organize Pentax World Day

Pentax Imaging announced its plans to organize a local photo shoot. Organized by worldwide Pentaxians and scheduled for Saturday, April 5, 2008, the photo shoot aims at sharing and critiquing photography.

Forum members at http://www.pentaxforums.com plan to shoot locally on that day and submit images to a central website. Named “PENTAX WORLD DAY,” the global shoot is not intended as a competition (there are no prizes), and it is organized just for the satisfaction of shooting and sharing images with other forum members.

Images must be captured on PENTAX Day (April 5, 2008) between midnight and midnight and one can submit up to three photos. photos must be taken with a PENTAX camera and should be between 800 and 850 pixels wide or tall, depending on orientation. Photos may be no larger than one megabyte in size.
