Participate in the WWT Nikon Photography Competition 2009 to win a share of £5,000 worth of Nikon equipment. One needs to take a photo at one of the nine WWT wetland centres in the UK and capture any aspect of the WWT experience. The Pixel Bender Contest encourages participants by writing Adobe Pixel Bender Kernels for Adobe Creative Suite 4. The grand prize is an Alienware Area-51 personal computer and category winners will receive a Nvidia Quadro CX graphics card. The categories are:

• Most useful Pixel Bender kernel in the Adobe Photoshop workflow and

May 20 - Budding photographers dreaming of a chance to be featured in National Geographic may have their chance with the "“Energizer® Ultimate Photography Contest.” The winner will have his or her photo featured in a new ad campaign for Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries, which will run in the famous magazine next December.
