The inimitable David Pogue from the NY Times plays around with the “worlds fastest camera”, the Casio Exilim EX-F1. The camera not only claims to take 60 photos a second but also delivers and impresses with its very powerful movie mode.
On the size front maybe equivalent to a Nikon or a Canon DSLR, however when it comes to performance it lacks behind it rivals. Its light sensitivity was found to be poor and burst-mode shots were also “ disappointingly dim.”
Pogue in the end concludes: “Casio deserves congratulations for innovating in so many big, bold, industry-defying ways. Instead of pushing misleading metrics like megapixels, the company went its own defiant way and came up with a camera with an extremely clearly defined identity.”
