onOne Launches Photoshop Plug-ins and Camera RAW Presets

onOne SoftwareSept. 11, 2007 – At Photoshop World in Las Vegas last week, onOne Software released 100 free presets for Adobe Camera RAW and announced two new Photoshop plug-ins, PhotoTools and PhotoTools Professional Edition. onOne Software plug-ins are currently available for preorder online.

Designed to speed up the photo editing process, the onOne Software presets and plug-ins can reduce post-processing time by automating photo editing and effects processes. Using Photoshop Actions, users can select from PhotoTools’ 150 effects or PhotoTools Professional Edition’s 250 effects to reproduce the look of camera filters such as color correction and polarization. With PhotoTools, users can preview effects before applying the changes. Users can stack multiple effects while controlling how they are ordered and blended.

“It's like Actions on steroids. I love it," said Photoshop instructor Kevin Kubota in a company press release.

onOne Software developed the Professional version with Kubota and Photoshop educator Jack Davis. The basic edition of PhotoTools was developed with Davis.

onOne PhotoTools will retail for $159.95 and PhotoTools Professional Edition for $259.95 when the software becomes available for download Nov. 15 and through retailers Dec. 1.

onOne Software also announced free presets for Adobe Camera RAW 4.1. The presets automate RAW image processing. The new presets are based on the existing 85 presets onOne Software developed for Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.

The Camera RAW presets operate in the order most photographers process their images, according to the release. The presets first approach white balance, then tone control, vibrance, custom hue/saturation/luminosity, black-and-white conversion, and enhancement.

Users can download the Adobe Camera RAW presets from the onOne Software website.
