The D700 aims at providing the same feature set as of the Nikon D3 without burning a hole in the consumers pocket. Like the D3, the D700 also comes equipped with a 12.1-megapixel CMOS sensor, a 51-point auto focus system with 3D tracking, a 920,000-dot LCD screen and an ISO range upto 6400. Scheduled to ship late this July, the D700 (body only) will retail for $2999.95 and those interested in the 24-120 VR kit lens will have to shell out $3599.99.
