Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W290

Specs & RatingsConclusion

Priced at $249.99, the W290 is at the higher end of the range for compact point and shoots, but it does bring some big features to the table, such as shooting 12 megapixel images. But megapixels aren't the draw they used to be, as most users realize that they don't need more than 8 or 9 megapixels at most. High definition video is a definite plus, but it is worth remembering that more expensive cameras shoot at higher resolutions and will quite probably shoot better looking video. But the W290 does look like an interesting pick if you are looking for a compact camera that shoots high resolution images.
