Sony Alpha SLT-A37 First Impressions Review

We took Sony's latest entry-level DSLR, the Alpha A37, for a spin around New York.

Introduction

The Sony Alpha SLT-A37 is the latest entry-level model from Sony, the sequel to the Sony A35. The A37 takes up the mantle with a new 16.1-megapixel image sensor, 7FPS continuous shooting rate, 1080/60i video capability, and an improved grip. Also included are some of Sony's newer software tricks, such as auto portrait framing and clear image zoom, designed to aid beginners not used to DSLRs. The Sony Alpha SLT-A37 will go on sale starting in June for around $600 with the standard 18-55mm kit lens, or for around $800 with the 18-135mm option.
