The 14 megapixel high definition digital camera uses a FOVEON X3 direct image sensor (2,652 × 1,768 × 3 layers) which is also used in the Sigma SD14 digital SLR. The Sigma SP2 s equipped with a 24.2mm F2.8 lens and also incorporates TRUE II” which is an improved version of “TRUE” (Three-layer Responsive Ultimate Engine). Other features found on this DP2 include; support for RAW, a 2.5 inch TFT color LCD monitor, a pop up (manual) built-in flash and three metering modes.
