Rebates Offered on Leading Digital Cameras
December 13, 2005 – Several leading digital camera manufacturers are offering rebates for the holiday season in the usual attempt to boost December sales.Nikon has rebates ranging from $20-$100 for camera bodies, Nikkor Lenses and Zoom-Nikkor Lenses. Nikon is also offering additional bonus rebates on specific items like the F100 AF 35mm SLR body and the 35-70mm f/2.8D AF Zoom-Nikkor lens that total up to $200 for each item. Purchases must be made by January 15, 2006 to qualify.

Canon is offering rebates on the EOS-20D for $100 and the Rebel XT for $75. Other rebates on various Canon cameras and printers range from $15-$50. While Canon is touting "double and triple" rebates, the actual rebate per item purchased remains the same whether you buy one or three items. To qualify for rebates, items must be purchased from a Canon USA dealer or reseller by January 15, 2006 and postmarked by February 6, 2006.

Olympus rebates run through December 31, 2005 and range from $50-$200 on specific lenses and combos with the E-1 SLR body. Olympus is also offering $15-$35 off on lenses and battery accoutrements when you purchase directly from the Olympus Emporium.

Kodak offers a large variety of deals this year including 10 percent off accompanying accessories when you buy a camera or printer; deals on camera/printer dock combos; $30-$100 rebates on viewers, printer docks, and printers; free 30-day WiFi service; and a free KODAK P20 Zoom flash. Deals run through December 31, 2006.

Sony is offering $30-$50 off of Cyber-shot cameras, $100 price drops on specific Cyber-shot models and $30 rebates on specific photo printers. Purchases for photo printer rebates must be made by January 21, 2006, but many of the Cyber-shot offers (while they may be extended) are only good December 11 – 17, 2005.
