Samsung TL500

Introduction

The TL500 is not a small camera, measuring 4.5 by 2.5 by 1.14 inches. That means it is too big to fit comfortably into a jeans pocket, but it is small enough to fit into a coat pocket or small bag.

Front

The front of the TL500 is dominated by the lens. To the left of the lens is a small control wheel which can be used to control the exposure compensation or the shutter speed.

Back

The main thing to see on the back of the camera is the large 3-inch LCD screen. On the right you can see the hinge of the camera which allows it to tilt and pivot.

Sides

There is not much to see on the left side of the TL500, although you can see the hinge for the LCD screen.

On the right side you can see the loop that secures the neck strap and the cover that sits over the HDMI and multi-purpose port.

Top

On the top of the camera body we see (from the left) the flash and flash enable switch, the hot shoe, the two control dials and the shutter and zoom control.

The flash hot shoe is filled with a sliding cover that can be easily removed. The first control dial is used to set the bust mode, the self timer and the bracketing. In the center of this is the power button. The second control dial sets the shooting mode.

Bottom

On the bottom of the camera body, you can see the battery and memory card port cover and the tripod socket. You can also see how thin the screen is.
