September 5, 2006 – Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. announced on Friday the multi-media device SDC-MS61 that combines photo, video, and music capabilities. The 6 megapixel device supports web camera, camcorder, voice recorder, and MP3 functions.
The Samsung SDC-MS61 has a 3x optical zoom lens, 3-inch LCD, ISO range up to 1600, and 16:9 aspect ratio. The SDC-MS61 records video at 640x480 at 30fps. In addition to still photo and video functions, the device can act as a webcam when connected to a computer with Internet access.
Users can also download songs onto the MP3 player and use the voice recorder for recording lectures, according to Friday’s Samsung press release.
No details have been released about pricing or availability of the SDC-MS61.
