Photo Sharing Site etribes Launches

July 27, 2006 - Photo sharing and blogger website etribes.com launched last week.

Since etribes launched on July 19, the UK-based website gained 27,000 customers in its first week online, according to Photo Marketing Association. Targeting busy Brits, the website states, “Our aim at etribes is to help busy people use the Internet more effectively in their daily lives.” With direct connections online, PCs, or cell phones, users can synchronize this site with an address book for direct dialing or emailing through Outlook.

The membership, which costs 2 pounds ($3.72 USD) per month, includes 20 texts and 20 minutes of calls per month and 10GB of photo storage space. With it, users get their own personalized URL, etribes.com/yourname, for sharing photos and posting personal news. Like other photo sharing websites, etribes also comes with public or private viewing options.

UK residents can use etribes anywhere in the world, states the website. Non-UK residents can create the photo sharing portion, etribes LifeSite.
