Phase One Speeds Up Production To Fill Backorders, Announces P21

February 2, 2006 – Phase One, the Danish digital image solutions company, has announced that they are aware of their backlog of P-series digital camera orders due to an unforeseen high demand and will be ramping up production in response. The P30 and P45 orders exceeded Phase One’s original market projections and as a result they admit, they found themselves short of product.

The P45 is known for its 39 megapixel sensor and 117MB file size and is primarily used for commercial print photography. The P30, with its 31.6 megapixel sensor, will capture images at a rate of 45 fpm and is often employed by photographers in the fashion industry.

Phase One promises that all existing orders for the P30 and P45 digital camera backs will be fulfilled by the end of April 2006.

Additionally, Phase One is announcing the release of a third addition to their P-series camera backs. The new P21 will be the fastest in the P-series, offering 60 fpm capture and 54MB processed image files. The P21 will be available in March.
