Tough cam is tough
Great color accuracy
So-so sharpness
Loads of useless editing features
Introduction
The Pentax Optio WG-1 is a waterproof tough-cam that doesn’t shy away from its adventuresome spirit. To some, the camera may look more like a piece of hardware or a gadget for your toolbox than a slick digital camera, but Pentax was able to incorporate decent imaging performance into the WG-1’s tough little body.
The camera is available in black or purple and has an MSRP of $349 (but you can find it for cheaper online). For an extra $50 bucks you can add GPS capability to the WG-1, and the GPS model comes with a black or yellow green paint job.
