Pandigital Introduces New Wireless Digital Frames
July 2, 2007 – Digital frame maker Pandigital today introduced a new line of digital photo frames and accessories for WiFi and Bluetooth photo transfer. Also available are battery packs for cordless operation. The new frames range in size from 6 to 15 inches and are priced from $119.99 to $299.99."Our new frames extend the functionality of our existing frames, while maintaining their easy-to-use design and superior styling that looks great in the home or office," said Pandigital President Dean Finnegan in a company press release today. "Our wireless and battery accessories let our customers choose the extra capabilities they want without having it imposed on them. Plus, the new simple-to-use features, such as the clock and calendar, allow customers to enjoy their frames even more."

Pandigital competes with other wireless frame makers including Ceiva, i-mate, and Kodak and other Bluetooth digital frame manufacturers Aluratek, MediaStreet, and Parrot. Pandigital's new frames, however, allow users to customize their frames with the separate accessories. The wireless WiFi and Bluetooth modules enable consumers to transfer their photos from a WiFi network or Bluetooth-enabled devices such as mobile phones or PDA devices.
The Pandigital frames support JPEG photo, Motion JPEG, MPEG 1, MPEG 4 video, and AVI and MP3 files. The frames possess auto image rotation, which automatically adjusts photo orientation. The frames are also PictBridge-capable, allowing users to directly print from frame to printer without the use of a computer. Each frame also comes with clock and calendar functions.
The Pandigital frames will be available this month and the new wireless accessories will be available in July and August.
