Conclusion

Panasonic DMC-FS25

Panasonic's DMC-FS25 is in most regards a standard 12.1-megapixel point-and-shoot, though the lens is a bit more generous than some at 5x zoom and the LCD is a full 3-inch display. Priced at $249.95, it lacks the manual controls that appeal to more sophisticated shooters, but the clear control scheme, Quick Menu for easy access to key settings and easy pocketability may find a market. Of course, we won't know whether this is an appealing purchase until we get a final unit into our labs and evaluate image quality firsthand.
