Optics Pro v4.1 and iView MediaPro 3.1 Bundle Introduced
December 5, 2006 – ‘Tis the season for bundles. With the holidays approaching, software providers, photo gift retailers, and manufacturers have bundled products in a convenient package at a reduced price for shoppers. DxO Labs and iView are not exempt from the festive discounts. DxO Labs announced today that newly updated editing software Optics Pro v4.1 will be bundled with photo management software iView MediaPro 3.1 resulting in a discount up to 30 percent until Dec. 31.
"This special offer combines the leading automatic digital image enhancement software with state-of-the-art digital asset management software to streamline the workflow for digital photographers," stated today's DxO Labs press release.
Released just yesterday, the upgrade DxO Optics Pro v4.1 promises faster RAW preview processing and more fluid sliders to simplify use of the editing program. The basic bundle of DxO Optics Pro v4.1 Starter coupled with the latest version of the iView v3.1 retails for $219 at a 20 percent savings. The Standard bundle is $229 while the premium edition Optics Pro v4.1 Elite and iView bundle is $349, saving the customer over 30 percent, according to the release.
In a separate announcement, iView MediaPro will be updated to Microsoft Expression Media come spring 2007, according to the Microsoft website. Microsoft Corp. officially completed acquisition of iView Multimedia, Ltd. in June. The updated product will be free to iView MediaPro 3 users and retail for $299 for new users when it becomes available.
