Introduction
Olympus’ new TG-320 is the latest addition to their Tough series of compact, ruggedized cameras. It is aggressively priced at $179.99, and the company is positioning it as a worry-free camera for families and entry level users looking for a model they won’t have to worry about damaging. The TG-320 can withstand drops from five feet in the air, temperatures as low as 14 degrees Fahrenheit, dusty environments that would normally harm electronics, and water submersion down to 10 feet.
The TG-320 is intended more for the perils of everyday life than hardcore thrill-seekers. But we think there’s a market for this, and are looking forward to the camera’s release in February.
