Olympus To Report Triple Profit in Q3, Stock Up 3%
February 9, 2006 – The Japanese newspaper Nihon Keizai Shimbun has reported that Olympus, a world leader in the camera industry, is about to report a triple profit for the quarter ending December 31, 2005 in comparison with Q3 2004. While Olympus has not yet officially released their report, the stock market is already reacting positively to the news and Olympus stock is up almost 3%.
The third quarter profit is reported to be $177 million USD (¥21 billion).
