Picture Quality / Size Options
The native pixel dimension of EVOLT E-510 files is 3648 x 2736. That's the only option for RAW files, SHQ, and HQ JPEGS. Standard JPEGs can be shot at resolutions from 3200 x 2400 down to 640 x 480. SHQ JPEGs are compressed at a ratio of 1/2.7. HQ's are compressed 1/8. SQ can be compressed at ratios from 1/2.7 to 1/12. The options yield a wide range of file sizes, down to sizes that are ideal for e-mail.

Picture Effects Mode
The EVOLT E-510 offers vivid, natural, muted, and monotone picture modes. The color modes can be adjusted for contrast, saturation, and sharpening. The monotone mode can be adjusted to simulate color filtration of black and white film and to tint the final image. Color images can be re-saved as monotone copies.
