Olympus announced the latest addition to its Olympus E-System family, the E-420. The new Olympus E-420 is an entry-level 10 megapixel DSLR camera that comes equipped with 28 shooting modes and a TruePic III image processor. It measures 5.1 x 3.6 x 2.1 inches and weighs 13.4 ounces which makes it the “world’s smallest and lightest DSLR,” according to Olympus.

Compact and lightweight, the E-420 is perfect for the amateur and the semi-professional user. The camera features a 2.7”/6.9cm HyperCrystal II LCD with continuous Live View and adheres to the Four Thirds Standard making it compatible with virtually all Olympus E-System accessories. Other features include; dual memory card slots, Depth of field preview function, Supersonic Wave Filter for dust protection and AE/AF-lock functionality.
