December 8, 2005 – Nikon has released a software update for Nikon View 6, version 6.2.7 that affects the D200, Coolpix 700, 800, 880 serial, 900, 950 and the 990 serial.
Changes for both Windows and Mac users include more support for RAW images capture with the D200 and Nikon Capture 4’s Color Aberration Control feature.
Mac users will further benefit from a new Preferences dialog in the Color Management Lab structure; while the Open ColorSync is removed, leaving just Default RGB Color Space and CMYK separation options. The effects of image editing with the Color Aberration Control feature will also now be displayed in the Nikon Browser or Nikon Viewer. The update also offers support of Mac OS X version 10.4.
