Excellent color accuracy
Strong resolution scores
Mediocre noise performance
Lackluster image stabilization
Introduction
The Nikon S4100 is the 2011 replacement for our pick for last year’s Budget Point & Shoot of the Year. While the new Coolpix is certainly an improvement over the S4000, we were disappointed to so few improvements—and a handful of… un-improvements.
The Nikon Coolpix S4100 launched with an MSRP of $179.95 and is available in black, bronze, purple, red, silver, and plum (pictured).
