Nikon Releases Capture NX 1.1

February 14, 2007 – Nikon released today a major upgrade to their workflow and editing manager Capture NX 1.1. The new Capture NX software update adds support for Intel-based Macs and Windows Vista, while adding a new interface. Capture NX 1.1 is priced at $149.95.

Nikon maintained current features for Capture NX 1.1 including their U Point technology for controlling colors without layers and the ability to edit JEPG, TIFF, and NEF (Nikon RAW) files.

New features include support for Intel-based Mac OS X systems and for PC's Windows Vista operating system. Capture NX also now includes modified tools such as a shortcut browser view, a crop tool and curve points that can be moved with keyboard arrows, IPTC information palette changes, and corrections for existing bugs.

Current users of Nikon NX can upgrade for free while users of Capture 4 can buy NX 1.1 at a discounted price of $89.95. Users should download version 1.0 or 1.0.1 before installing the latest version. New users can try Capture NX by downloading a free 30-day trial version at http://support.nikontech.com/cgi-bin/nikonusa.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=61.
