Nikon Coolpix S630 Digital Camera Review

Nikon Coolpix S630

First Impressions Review

3.9 The Nikon S630 was announced earlier this month, an addition to its Coolpix line featuring a 12-megapixel sensor, 7x optical zoom, as well as VR image stabilization and other features to help you capture the best possible shot. Despite the 7x zoom level, the S630 is still very sleek and pretty darned petite. The S630 retails for $279 and is available in 5 colors. We manhandled the S630 in Royal Purple at PMA in Las Vegas to bring you this first impressions review.

Conclusion
The S630 sure is a pretty camera and it packs in a lot of high-tech features that make it look fantastic on paper.  In particular, the image stabilization, 6400 ISO, and other features that help you capture the best possible picture in your current conditions are the features that stand out. We are really anxious to get the S630 into our lab to see how it really performs - there aren't any Nikon point-and-shoots at the top of our ratings so far, but we have high hopes the S630 could change that.
