Introduction
Last year, Nikon marketed the Coolpix P300 as a compact, wide-aperture companion for the serious shooter. It was positioned as an alternative to the very popular Canon S95, but for some reason the model never really took off. Fast forward a bit and we see the release of Canon’s awesome S100, and now today, our first impression of the new P310. A subtle update, to match Canon’s subtle update.
The wide f/1.8 aperture makes a return, and this time the model boasts a 16.1 megapixel CMOS sensor. Other than that, the P310 seems pretty much unchanged since its predecessor.
