LightZone Adds Lightroom and Apple Support for Discounted Rate

March 21, 2007 – Software developer Light Crafts announced this week new compatibility for the their photo editing program, LightZone. The developer has added support for manager programs such as Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, Apple Aperture, and Apple iPhoto. Light Crafts will offer the LightZone Basic with the new compatibility at a discounted rate of $99.95 until June 30.

With a nearly $50 savings from the regular $149.95 price tag, LightZone now offers full integration with Lightroom and Apple programs Aperture and iPhoto, allowing photographers to use multiple organization and editing programs.

"We’re introducing the power of visual photo editing to all photographers, independent of their photo management software environment," said Light Crafts CEO Georges van Hoegaerden in a March 19 company press release.

To use Lightroom, Aperture, or iPhoto with LightZone, users can select the external photo editor through preferences. LightZone supports JPEG, TIFF, and DNG file formats. LightZone comes equipped with editing functions for exposure, color, white balance adjustments, and dust removal, as well as noise and blur reduction tools.

LightZone offers two versions; the premium version LightZone 2.0 for $249.95 and LightZone Basic at the discounted rate of $99.95. Visit www.lightcrafts.com to download the software.
