Lexar and Kodak Introduce 4 GB SDHC Card

Sept. 5, 2007 – Yesterday, camera manufacturer Eastman Kodak Co. and flash memory maker Lexar Media, Inc. signed a five-year agreement to globally distribute Kodak-branded Secure Digital (SD), microSD, and USB drives developed by Lexar. The agreement is marked by the release of a Kodak 4 GB Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) memory card, which is currently available at retailers."Kodak has worked closely with Lexar since 2004 to offer our customers leading-edge solutions in flash memory," said Kodak Vice President and General Manager John Blake of Digital Capture and Imaging Products in a press release yesterday. "We look forward to continuing the positive relationship we’ve established with Lexar, and to expanding our product line to complement the broad range of products that the digital camera user experiences on a daily basis."
The new Kodak-Lexar agreement expands on an existing partnership that began three years ago with the launch of a Kodak-named 64 MB SD card.
The Kodak memory cards join an existing line of Kodak-branded digital products including SD memory, xD cards, batteries, CDs, and DVDs. Customers can find the new line of Kodak memory cards at www.lexar.com/kodak.
