Lenovo will soon update its ThinkPad W700 laptop, which has been designed keeping in mind the multimedia-professional like photographers, editors, videographers etc. The updated version, W700ds will feature a 10.6 inch, 768 x 1280 pixel LED-backlit display in addition to the 17 inch, 1920 x 1200 pixel CCFL-backlit primary display.

The W700ds notebook will also now have a smoother palm rest for the Wacom tablet and will also include support for 4GB Intel Turbo memory. Expect the notebook to be unveiled by January 5, 2009.
