Kodak Adds Two Cameras to its Z-Series


June 12, 2007 – Eastman Kodak Company today announced two additions to its EasyShare Z-Series, the 12-megapixel Z1275 and the 7-megapixel ZD710. Both cameras feature digital image stabilization. The Z1275 will ship by June 22 at an MSRP of $249.95 and the ZD710 will be available in August. Pricing for the ZD710 was not immediately available.

The 12-megapixel Kodak EasyShare Z1275 has a higher megapixel count than its predecessor, the 8.1-megapixel EasyShare Z885. It has a 5x Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon zoom lens, with a 35mm-equivalent zoom range of 37–175mm. It features digital image stabilization, a High ISO mode (ISO 3200), Smart Scene Mode, and Panorama Stitch Mode.

The EasyShare ZD710 has a 10x (38–380mm equivalent) Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon optical zoom lens and 5x digital zoom. It features digital image stabilization, a High ISO mode (ISO 1600) and Smart Scene mode. The ZD710 sits between the Z712IS and the Z710. The Z712IS adds optical image stabilization and a 12x optical zoom lens. The Z710 has a max ISO of 800 at a reduced resolution and no image stabilization system.
