Kodak Launches Dual Lens EasyShare V705

August 8, 2006 – Eastman Kodak Co. announced the launch of the EasyShare V705 Dual Lens camera, called the “world’s smallest ultra-wide-angle optical zoom digital camera” in today’s press release. The 7.1-megapixel pocket camera will be available worldwide in September at $349.95.

As the new flagship V-series model, the Kodak V705 comes with a higher megapixel count over previous pocket dual lens V-series models, the 6.1 megapixel V610 priced at $449.95 and the 5.0 megapixel V570 priced at $349.95.

The V705 has two 7 megapixel sensors, a 5x optical zoom, and a 2.5-inch LCD. Equipped with Kodak’s Retina technology, the lenses “allows consumers to capture amazingly wide views,” stated the release. The V705 contains a 23mm (equivalent) fixed focal length lens along with its other, 39-117mm (equivalent) zoom lens. The V705 also includes anti-blur capabilities and Kodak’s Perfect Touch technology.

The EasyShare camera has 22 scene modes, 3 color modes, and a panorama stitch mode. The V705 also has movie capabilities to record VGA (640x480) at 30 fps with sound. The camera has built-in video editing as well as direct print from still video clips.

The V705 will be available in silver at retailers. The camera will also be available in black and pink online at www.kodak.com. For each pink camera sold in the month of October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Kodak will donate $25 to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, according to the release.
