Kodak Introduces Two New C-Series Models With Undo-Delete Feature
February 17, 2006 – Kodak announced two new entry-level digital cameras today: the EasyShare C643 and the EasyShare C533. The C643 falls in line below the C663, which has the same number of megapixels. The C533 follows the C530 with 5 megapixels and a slightly larger 1.8-inch LCD screen. Both releases have a new undo-delete function that restores freshly deleted files. The Kodak EasyShare C642 will be available in April for $229 and the C533 will sell for $179 in June.
"Kodak’s new C-series cameras provide users new to photography with tools to capture and share their memories," said Mary Hadley, general manager of digital cameras for Kodak’s Consumer Digital Imaging Group, in today’s press release. "The C643 and C533 are designed to give people the opportunity to get the best quality pictures beginning with their very first shot."
The 6.1-megapixel Kodak C643 has a 2.4-inch LCD screen that is slightly smaller than the C663’s 2.5-inch version. The new C643 also has a 3x optical zoom lens and a movie mode that records 640 x 480 pixels for 30 frames per second.
The Kodak EasyShare C533 has 5 megapixels, a 3x optical zoom lens, and in-camera cropping. The LCD is slightly larger than the C530’s 1.5-inch monitor. Both digital cameras use convenient AA batteries and are PictBridge and ImageLink compatible.
