Kodak's EasyShare V610 is the second digital camera on the market with a dual lens system. It follows the V570, which had 5x optical zoom with an ultra-wide angle; the V610 doubles the optical zoom to 10x and maintains an equally slim 0.9-inch body. As of May 2006, this is the smallest 10x optical zoom camera on the market. This could change, though. The compact ultra-zoom genre of digital cameras is still growing; the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1 advertised itself as the world’s smallest 10x camera in February and had a few glorious weeks at the top before the Kodak V610 was released. The Kodak EasyShare V610 makes its mark by loading 6.1 megapixels and Bluetooth wireless technology into a metal camera body that has a high-resolution 2.5-inch LCD screen. All of the innovative technology on the V610 comes at a price though: a $449.95 retail price, to be exact.
