Kodak Presents Slim 6 Megapixel EasyShare V603

February 17, 2006 – Kodak announced the EasyShare V603 today, which is the first digital camera to have not 5 but 6 megapixels in the company’s V-series pocket camera lineup. Like its three V-series siblings, the V603 has many scene modes and limited manual functionality. It also keeps the slim profile that the lineup is known for. The Kodak EasyShare V603 will retail for $299 when it becomes available to buyers in April.

The Kodak EasyShare V603 has a 3x optical zoom Schneider-Kreuznach lens and a large 2.5-inch LCD screen. The camera can record movies at 640 x 480 pixel resolution, with a smooth 30 frame-per-second rate. Like other V-series models, the V603 can zoom while recording video and has digital image stabilization.

“Kodak continues to merge innovation with style in its V-series line of digital cameras,” said Mary Hadley, general manager of digital cameras for Kodak’s Consumer Digital Imaging Group, in today’s press release. “The combination of high tech, high style and high performance at an affordable price is something that people have come to expect from Kodak and the V603 delivers.”

Keeping pace with high fashion, the stylish Kodak V603 will be sold in black and silver colors in April.
