Value
The C663 falls into the middle of the point-and-shoot camera range. It’s not the cheapest camera we’ve seen in this area, and it’s not the most fully featured. But at just under $300, it’s reasonably priced for what it offers.

Who It’s For
Point-and-Shooters - The C663 is an interesting choice for the photographer who wants to just take pictures without fuss: the controls are easy to use and the autofocus is snappy.

Budget Consumers - At just under $300, the C663 is not cheap, but it’s well priced for a fully featured model.

Gadget Freaks – The retro styling is cool in a nerdy way, but this hardly qualifies as a gadget or nerd-worthy feature.

Manual Control Freak - The lack of manual control will be a problem for those who like to control every aspect of the picture taking process, but it won’t be a big problem for most users.

Pros / Serious Hobbyists - This camera might work as a pocketable backup camera, but it’s not going to replace a dedicated digital SLR for the serious photographer.
