Kodak EasyShare 5.2 Released

Las Vegas, Nevada, January 3, 2006 – Kodak announced today the release of a new version of their EasyShare software. Version 5.2 will augment existing features, intended to help in organizing, editing, sharing, and printing images.

The popular EasyShare software sprang from the Ofoto website (now the Kodak EasyShare Gallery, www.kodakgallery.com), and offers free photo storage, sharing, and editing that is easily integrated into a personal computer, digital camera, or printer regardless of brand. The Kodak EasyShare Gallery offers prints through their website for as low as $0.15 apiece as well as a plethora of personalized photo novelties (t-shirts, stickers, mugs, cards, calendars, and even tote bags). EasyShare 5.2 is compatible with most file formats and camera brands.

The updated EasyShare 5.2 also offers a few more features to users. There is an option to tag individual images within various albums as a “Favorite.” Once tagged as a “Favorite” (designated in the corner of a photo’s thumbnail with a heart) the photo is from then on included in a “My Favorites Album” in addition to its respective album. This is an easy way for users to keep photos organized by both topic and value. This “Favorite” option automatically syncs with other EasyShare software on the users’ computer, online gallery, or camera as long as it is also equipped with EasyShare 5.2.

EasyShare 5.2 offers a one-click print option that runs on every screen throughout the software program, allowing users to print an image at any point in the editing, sharing, or organizing process.

EasyShare 5.2 is also one of the only WiFi-compliant digital imaging systems. It utilizes WiFi capabilities to send images directly from camera to printer, Internet, or computer when used in conjunction with the Kodak EasyShare-one camera.
