Kodak Announces October Availability for EasyShare One

September 1, 2005 - Kodak announced today that its Wi-Fi enabled EasyShare One will be available this October at an estimated price of $599. Since its initial introduction earlier this year, Kodak has marketed the EasyShare One as the first camera that will enable users to take and share pictures from any location; however, today’s announcement by Kodak comes alongside Nikon’s introduction of their Coolpix P1 and P2, which include built-in Wi-Fi capabilities. The P1 and P2 are currently scheduled for availability later this month.

The 4 megapixel EasyShare One features a 3x Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon optical zoom lens, as well as 256 megabytes of internal memory. The camera offers a 3-inch touch screen LCD that Kodak says will allow users to email or share images with minimal effort from home or any Wi-Fi hotspot around the world.
