Kingston to Offer Flash Memory Vending Machines

April 12, 2007 - Memory and digital media manufacturer Kingston Technology has partnered with specialist retailer MyMemory to offer Flash memory vending machines. The first machine was unveiled this week at Gatwick Airport in London. The companies plan to place the machines in high-traffic locations throughout the U.K.

Memory cards are the latest product to be offered via vending machine; iPods, cell phones, and a host of other products are now sandwiched between soda and snack food. Companies, including Kingston, aim to give consumers easy access to products 24/7.

“The move to vending machines is in direct response to changing consumer lifestyle habits, a greater emphasis on convenience and increased demand for high capacity Flash Memory products,” states the MyMemory website.

Kingston offers a variety of Flash memory including USB drives and CompactFlash and Secure Digital cards. For more information about Kingston products, visit www.kingston.com
