HP Announces Product Discounts for Teachers and Students
July 30, 2007 – HP has announced discounted pricing for students and teachers on a number of its products, including the Photosmart E337 digital camera, two printers and a printer-camera bundle. Eligible consumers can save up to 15 percent on purchases of select items.
"Back-to-school shopping has moved way beyond … folders and No. 2 pencils," said Mark Sanchez, HP’s vice president of North America Consumer Computing business, Personal Systems Group, in a press release. "Whether for research and reports or music, movies, photos and games, students want high-performance technology devices that make it easier to manage and enjoy both their academic and personal lives."
To be eligible, students and teachers must register at the HP shopping website for the HP Academic Purchase Program.
The HP Photosmart E337 will be available on HP’s website for $79. It has a 1.5-inch display and 5x digital zoom, and can connect directly to a PC for online printing via Snapfish.
The HP Deskjet D2460 Printer and the HP Photosmart C5280 All-in-One Printer will be available for $49 and $149, respectively. The D2460 includes Smart Web Printing and can print up to 20 black-and-white or 14 color pages in one minute. The C2580 also offers Smart Web Printing, can personalize CD/DVDs, and has scanning and copying capabilities.
The Photosmart A442 Camera and Printer Dock bundle offers a photo printer with the 5 MP Photosmart M437 digital camera. The M437 has a 3x optical zoom and can be charged through the printer dock. Users may also print without a PC with direct connection from camera to printer. The bundle will be available for $179.
