October 25, 2006 – Visual content distributor Getty Images Inc. released their financial results yesterday , reporting increased revenue in the third quarter.
In this quarter ending on Sept. 30, Getty Images reported revenue at $198.1 million over last year’s third quarter revenue of $184.5 million. The reports show a 7.4 percent increase year-over-year, according to a Getty press release yesterday.
“Our third quarter results reflect the dynamic changes that are occurring in our industry,” said Getty Images CEO Jonathan Klein in the release. “Sustained growth will be driven by continuous innovation and a dedication to serve our customers,” he said.
The third quarter results are consistent with Getty’s overall revenue for the year thus far. Getty reported $603.8 million in the nine-month period in 2006, up from last year’s $547.9 million for the same first three quarters.
Getty predicts that total revenue by the fiscal year’s end will reach nearly $800 million.
