Fuji Launches Website to Cure Picture Phobia

Out of those surveyed, 44 percent would rather do laundry than smile for the camera. Another 34 percent would prefer to spend their time paying bills, and a small, but noticeable 18 percent would rather go to the dentist.
"Ever notice how right before a picture is taken, subjects fix their hair, flatten their stomachs, remove glasses, stand sideways to camouflage a growing midriff or look upward to tighten a sagging neckline?" said psychotherapist Doris Wild Helmering in the release. "The bottom line is that everyone wants to see themselves at their very best," she said.
The way to combat this "picture phobia," as Helmering called it, is to change the subject’s attitude towards their appearance.
The new Fuji Best Face Forward website offers photos tips from photographer James Ferrara and other hints about make-up, dermatology, and psychology to make even a license picture look better.
