This 5-megapixel digital camera is the latest in the Z-series of cameras and fits right in with its 10x optical zoom lens. The Kodak EasyShare Z7590 has a 1/2.5-inch CCD with 5.36 total megapixels and 5 effective megapixels; the CCD works side by side with the Kodak Color Science Chip. The SLR-shaped camera is the first of the Z-series to offer a flash sync connection. The Z7590 offers a variety of optional accessories including wide and telephoto lenses as well as being compatible with both PictBridge and ImageLink printers. With a full range of manual, semi-automatic, and fully automatic features, the Z7590 can please just about any consumer willing to tote a 12.3-ounce SLR-shaped digital camera. It will be available in April 2005 for a retail price of $449.

Picture Quality/ Size Options
This camera offers five different still image sizes in two compression settings: 2576 x 1932, 2576 x 1716 (3:2), 2304 x 1728, 2048 x 1536, and 1552 x 1164. All still images are recorded in JPEG format and can be compressed at Standard or Fine mode.

Picture Effects Mode
Besides the sharpness adjustment, there are three color options on the Z7590: Color, Black and White, and Sepia. Color and Sharpness are the two picture effects available on the EasyShare Z7590.
